द्वारका के अधिकांश स्कूल करते हैं यातायात नियमों का उल्लंघन!

Most of the schools in Dwarka are not following traffic rules and regulations and have parked their school busses illegally on master plan roads and service lanes. These school buses are causing traffic jam problems on the roads. Everyday Dwarkaites are facing life risky situations and even many a times due to this road accidents took place.

According to Dwarka resident Anil Jha law enforcing agencies like Delhi Traffic Police, Delhi Development Authority (DDA) and South Delhi Municipal Corporation of Delhi (SDMC) are under influence of schools management. Till now they have not taken any action against these schools.

According to Rammurty, official of queens valley school sector 8 Dwarka “neither the pedestrians nor motorists are using service road thats why the school buses are parked on service road”

He also added “We pay parking tax, so it’s the duty of government to provide space for parking.” Although the DDA has already given the final sanction plan with parking inside the school premises, still the schools are violating the traffic rules.

ISD team also observed similar situation outside RD Rajpal school, sec-9 and Vandana International School sector 10 Dwarka. The school buses were parked on the main road of Dwarka sector 9 & 10 and were occupying half of that road. This was causing traffic jams on that road. Team ISD tried to contact SHO of PS Dwarka sector 9 but he was not available. RD Rajpal School is situated just adjacent to PS of sector 9.

Rahul Kapoor, transport in charge of RD Rajpal School, Dwarka, sec- 9 said, “only at time of dispersal our school buses are parked outside, otherwise it is always inside school premises.” But this claim is disputed by Rajesh Singh resident of Azad Hind CGHS sector 9. He said, “school buses and vans are illegally parked on road 24 X 7″.

ISD team have photographs where buses were parked on main road at non dispersal time. Few buses without any name written on it were also parked outside; although school management denied but drivers reveled that the buses were of the same school. Vandana International School, Dwarka, sec-10 authorities refused to give any statement on this issue.

Concerned Delhi Traffic Police Inspector Rajinder Singh says, “No school bus is allowed outside school premises, neither on main road nor on service lane. We often take action against the offenders.”
