CPM-NCP-Christian missionary plot has emerged behind the macabre Palghar lynching case, wherein two Sadhus and a person were brutally killed with sticks.
Juna Akhara saints, 70-year-old Kalpavrishka Giri Maharaj and 35-year-old Sushil Giri Maharaj along with their driver 30-year-old Nilesh Telgade, were on their way from Mumbai to Gujarat to give Samadhi to another Sadhu.
They were attacked by more than 100 people when their vehicle was passing through Gadakchinchale village on April 16. They deemed them to be thieves and started attacking them, while the police stood as mute spectators.
Spine-chilling videos of the barbaric attack had gone viral on social media. In one of the videos, one of the policemen is seen leading Kalpavriksh Giri Maharaj and handing him over to the mob.
It is suspected that entire incident was a conspiracy and instigated by CPM and NCP leaders in a village which is hotbed of Christian missionary activity. It is also alleged that local CPM MLA Vinod Nikolay is the main the architect of the incident.
The role of NCP also came out in the fore when BJP leader Sunil Deodhar posted the information on his twitter handle. He, in a response to BJP Leader Sambit Patra’s tweet, claimed that a man who is seen in the video wearing a white and yellow-coloured T-shirt at the site of the crime was Kashinath Chaudhary, a district panchayat member of NCP.
Deodhar also claimed the presence of CPM panchayat members- Vishnu Patra, Subhash Bhavar and Dharma Bhavar – at the site.
As many as 110 people, who have been arrested, are CPM workers, and so are the absconders.
Shiraz Balsara, head of NGO named Kashtakari, is arranging for the bail of arrested people. The NGO has link with Christian missionaries.
Palghar and surrounding areas have witnessed tensions between Hindus and Christian missionaries since 2007. Many protests and violence also have been reported over religious conversions.
As per reports, Christian preachers in Palghar district are accused of disrespecting the Hindu gods by calling Lord Hanuman a monkey and Lord Ganesha an elephant, enraging the locals.
