After the discovery of drug angle in Sushant Singh Rajput death case, Kangana Ranaut said actors Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh should be tested for drug consumption before they are chosen as youth icons.
In an interview with Republic TV, Kangana stressed the importance of conducting drug tests before a brand signs a star to bring before the people a real youth icon.
“Brands that decide youth icons – The government must regulate who should be chosen as youth icons by the Indian and international brands. It should not be given based on, whether he or she is a patriot, but after testing their blood. Is it clean or not? The government should test the blood of actors – whether he is Ranveer Singh, Vicky Kaushal or Ranbir Kapoor,” she said.
Kangana also said the government should make it mandatory for the stars to undergo a drug test just like they are undergoing a corona test.
“Nowadays, my film shooting is starting, we people are supposed to give our corona test. Similarly, we must also submit our drug test before any brand endorsement for any film,” she said.
“In fact, these people flaunt that they are taking drugs and endorsing westernised choices. The brands are all over them and their visibility increases with it and their fan following increases. For the entire nation, this becomes the symbol of success,” she added.
