What are you waiting for? Honourable IT minister.
Twitter denied access to your account for an hour on the flimsiest grounds that there was a violation of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of the USA.
What could be any better example of high handedness and arbitrary action of Twitter, but to block your account. The account of India’s IT and Law Minister. It demands action against the platform. And stop cribbing. You are the authority. Punish Twitter.
Take it from us, this platform will refuse to comply with the Intermediary Guidelines because it wants to deny access to people’s accounts which do not suit its agenda.
It will not stop from complaining about copyright infringements with regard to the news clips of any BJP leader’s interviews shared on social media, despite the real owners of the content making no case out of them.
It will arbitrarily remove you from its platform. It will not spare even Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
So, before this happens it’s better to lock Twitter up for few days. Nigeria did not crib. It banned Twitter in one go.
People are already confused. They are asking who is regulating whom? You or Twitter?
