Major lapses in Cooper Hosiptal autopsy report and Mumbai Police, who were probing Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case, have emerged.
The AIIMS report, which was submitted to CBI on September 28, also raised questions on the ligature marks on Sushant’s body.
It also mentions that Mumbai police did not collect the actor’s urine sample as per law saying that the forensics department did not want it.
The AIIMS reports also revealed the lapses made by Mumbai FSL in not finding out whether Sushant was administered drugs.
Sources also said AIIMS doctors haved raised many other questions on Mumbai FSL, which had stated Sushant’s death as asphyxia due to hanging and ruled out the possibility of any struggle.
It also had disclosed that nothing was found from under his nails too.
The AIIMS report also suggests no traces of organic poisoning was found in Sushant’s body and no clean chit has been given to Mumbai Police, Cooper Hospital and others. The actor’s post-mortem was conducted by Cooper Hospital situated in Mumbai.
The AIIMS report has not ruled out the murder angle and its findings are in commensurate with the evidence collected by CBI in its first round of investigation, sources said.
On September 28, Dr Sudhir Gupta, chairman of AIIMS’ Forensic Medical Board in the actor’s death case, had said, “AIIMS and CBI are in agreement on the Sushant Singh Rajput death case but more deliberations are needed. There is a need to look into some legal aspects for a logical legal conclusion.”
The CBI now is expected to start its second round of investigation based on these medical findings once its officers reach Mumbai.
The CBI, earlier, had stated that “no angles have been ruled out” and the probe is being held in a professional manner
The CBI is likely to once again interrogate Dipesh Sawant, Sidharth Pithani and others who were present on June 14 morning when Sushant was found dead in his apartment in Bandra.
