Soon after Amit Shah’s visit to West Bengal, a storm has hit state politics.
This is reflected in Trinamool poll strategist Prashant Kishor’s tweet. He made a big claim about the BJP saying that it will not touch the double-digit figure in West Bengal polls.
People are asking the reason behind this reckless tweet. The answer lies in the inside story coming from the TMC fold. It says that the TMC Chief Mamata Banerjee is unhappy with Prashant Kishor.
Her leaders have signaled out the pollster’s corporate style of functioning, which was not in the best interests of West Bengal politics, which forced leaders like Suvendu Adhikari to quit the party.
Sensing the growing displeasure of the leaders and activists, Mamata Banerjee summoned Prashant Kishor at the party’s core committee meeting held in Kalighat recently. Sources said Didi had expressed displeasure and instructed him to diagnose these problems immediately.
As the anger was brewing up against Prashant Kishor, Amit Shah’s two-day visit created a storm in the TMC camp. His roadshow in Mamata Banerjee’s backyard has completely changed the political dynamics of the state. She has reportedly got in touch with opposition leaders to form an alliance to stop BJP’s juggernaut.
It is learned that the TMC is planning a mega rally of opposition leaders in Kolkata as part of its effort to prop up an anti-BJP front. NCP supremo Sharad Pawar has joined several opposition leaders to side with Mamata Banerjee in her battle against the saffron party which has only four MLAs in the current assembly!!!!
Clearly, Amit Shah’s visit has pushed Mamata Banerjee on the backfoot and also forced her to snatch decision-making powers from Prashant Kishor, which goaded him to brag about BJP struggling to cross double-digit.
This was just Amit Shah’s first visit. There are many to come. Surely, we are up for interesting days ahead in Bengal politics.
