NEW DELHI
Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal, the Delhi Government is actively working to address the concerns faced by cooperative group housing societies across Delhi. In line with this objective, Shri Raaj Kumar Anand, the Cooperative Minister of the Delhi Government, held a review meeting with the officials of the Registrar Cooperative Societies Department on Thursday. During the meeting, he emphasised the need to develop a new strategy to promptly address the grievances.
The Cabinet Minister specifically instructed the officials to organise public hearing camps in the month of June. These camps will serve as a platform to effectively address and resolve the grievances in cooperative group housing societies.
During the meeting, Shri Raaj Kumar Anand, the Cooperatives Minister, addressed the officials regarding the increasing number of complaints received by the department under the Delhi Cooperative Societies Rules. Shri Anand requested detailed information from the officials regarding the pending reports and urged the officials from the concerned department to explain the reasons for their non-redressal.
Shri Raaj Kumar Anand highlighted that numerous complaints had been persistently received by the department, specifically under Rule-90 of the Delhi Cooperative, for a significant period of time. Recognising the urgency of the matter, the Cooperatives Minister instructed the department officials to prioritise the resolution of these complaints without delay. To facilitate this process, he further directed the department officers to organise a public hearing camp in the month of June.
