The Maharashtra government is on the brink of collapse.
Why am I reiterating this today?
It is simple. Param Bir Singh has written a letter to Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray mentioning that Home Minister Anil Deshmukh had expressed to Sachin Vaze that he was given the target of collecting Rs 100 crore per month as hafta from various establishments in Mumbai.
This letter has created a massive storm in the political circles of Maharashtra.
Now, one may ask what prompted Param Bir Singh to write a letter leveling allegations against Anil Deshmukh?
It is simple: The letter came in the wake of NCP putting all blame on Uddhav Thackeray in Antilla bomb scare case and also a statement given by Anil Deshmukh saying that Param Bir Singh was transferred to the Home Guards department due to the mishandling of the case.
Param Bir Singh is a small fry. It is not possible for him to make allegations against the Home Minister. Then, who has backed the former Mumbai Police Commissioner to level charges against Anil Deshmuk? Everybody knows Param Bir Singh is Man Friday of Uddhav Thackeray.
Yet another very important question is – For whom Sachin Vaze was collecting Rs 100 crore per month? Because Param Bir Singh clearly has stated in his letter that Anil Deshmukh was given the target by someone.
Now, who is that someone? Is it Sharad Pawar or Uddhav Thackeray?
Instead of answering this question, it is enough to ask a supplementary question – Will Param Bir Singh and Sachin Vaze, who are Uddhav Thackeray’s props, work for Sharad Pawar? Many think it is impossible.
Nevertheless, let us wait and watch. Days ahead are interesting when truth will surface soon. But, one thing is certain, the three-wheeled Maharashtra government is on the verge of collapse, because Team Uddhav comprising himself, Sachin Vaze and Param Bir Singh, is at loggerheads with Team Sharad Pawar, that includes Anil Deshmukh.
