Dr. Chaitanya Vashistha : I am writing this article at last day of my visit to both Ujjain & Omkareshwar from Ujjain. I am a bhrahman and a shiv bhakt. I will tell the truth as what happened with me and my family on the trip.
First we visited omkareshwar on 11/4/2022 it was a very nice experience and a life changing one. But things started changing at Ujjain as we become victim of Mandir Prashasan at Mahakal. We booked bhasm aarti before coming to ujjain. It cost rs 200 per person there was no information on official website about bhasm aarti does & donts and that is why i think you are reading this.
All the information provided at different website is old, outdated and wrong.
For bhasm aarti even after booking, you have to stand in line at 1am morning and shringar will start at 4:30 am. For more than 4 hrs mandir prashasan will throw everyone in a hall which is full of mosquitoes and they stop you to even do a jaikara or any type of bhajan in that hall reason is unknown.
We were semi naked in dhoti as a ritual but at temple there was no such rule people were in shorts, skirts and all type of clothes. NO CLAIMED RULES WERE FOLLOWED FOR CLOTHES.
After this long waiting they open the gate and everyone start running to get to the front row and no one was there to stop them. After a long walk or run they throw everyone to another hall. There was no management at that hall people were hitting each other. After a short period of 10 min madness everyone get settled.
Then you come to know that the hall is facing the mahakal shivling and sitting arrangement is about 200 meters away from shivling and you get a glimpse from very far of a small shivling through a dirty glass pannel.
Then shringar begins in which pujari come again and again in between the view and other people sitting in front of you also obstruct the view.
So majority of time you see a LCD pannel in which live stream was broadcasting same which is also available on Youtube.
After all this, Bhasm arti started which lasted only about 60 sec which is nothing but just a hype as these days no ash is brought from chitaa but they have started using cow dung cake ash for bhasm aarti and that too was not visible from 200 meter distance.
At the end they throw everyone out of the hall and from the temple campus. THEY DIDN’T LET US NEAR THE MAHAKAL. for that you have to pay rs 1500 to pujari for 2 people or one person. No one get near mahakal shivling (they have made Mahakal Shahrukh Khan that if you want to go near vanity van you have to pay rs 1500) (they make people players of squid game) (they have make a super sporitual process to a theater show) i have so much pain in my heart to say that MANDIR PRASHASAN HAD KILLED THE MAHAKAL.
I will never come here in future unless this temple is freed from mafias.
