Cracks in Maha Vikas Aghadi over Sushant Singh death case have started to surface.
Several Congress leaders in Bihar are pressing for a CBI enquiry into Sushatnt’s death case. They fear a severe backlash from people in poll-bound Bihar.
Sushant, who hails from Patna, has huge fan following across various castes and communities, and some Congress leaders in Bihar and Maharashtra, do not want to enrage them.
They do not want to lose the support of the Rajput caste, to which Sushant belonged. Of the total 19 per cent population of forward castes in Bihar, Rajputs lead the group with 6.5 per cent, followed by Bhumihar and Brahmins, both having 5.5 per cent population each.
The Kayashtha form 1.5 percent of the population.

Congress leader Sanjay Nirupam, who is Bihar born based in Mumbai, today called Mumbai Police and BMC mad for forcibly quarantining Bihar police IPS officer Vinay Tiwari.
“Looks like Bruhat Mumbai corporation and Mumbai Police have gone mad. IPS officer Tiwari who came to investigate the death of Sushant Singh Rajput has been quarantined till August 15? How will the matter be investigated? The Chief Minister should intervene immediately. Release Tiwari immediately and help in the investigation or else the suspicion on the Mumbai Police will increase,” Nirupam tweeted.
Tiwari, who was sent by Bihar Police to Mumbai to probe Sushant’s death, was placed under quarantine for 14 days by BMC. In reply, he said he will be filing exemption from quarantine as he is on special duty.
The Mumbai police is under fire after creating obstacles in the probe carried out by Bihar police, which has found several lacunae in Mumbai police investigation.

NCP, which is a part of MVA government, demanded CBI inquiry in Sushant’s death case. Its leader Parth Pawar, on July 27, had met Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh and had submitted a request letter seeking CBI enquiry.
In his letter, Pawar wrote, “I have received calls, emails and text messages from the state of Bihar, UP, MP, and others seeking my intervention in this matter. I understand the Youth of this country depends on logical & fair closure of this case so that justice is delivered to Sushant. I, therefore, join my voice with millions of youngsters of our country to urge you to consider referring the said inquiry to CBI.”
The letter had sparked off a controversy as he is Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar’s son and home ministry is with NCP.
Congress legislature party leader Sadanand Singh has also demanded a CBI probe into the actor’s death in Bihar assembly.

Lalan Kumar, former president of Bihar Pradesh Youth Congress, also demanded a CBI probe and added that many secrets are hidden in Sushant’s death and his fans should get answers to some tough questions.
Interestingly, Mumbai Police has kept the case open even after claiming that the actor was found hanging from a ceiling fan in his room on June 14 and declared it as a case of suicide.
Nonetheless, Rhea Chakraborty, Sushant’s ex-girlfriend, has moved the Supreme Court against the FIR lodged by the actor’s father KK Singh with Bihar Police.
In a surprising move, she sought the case to remain with Mumbai police after she had asked for a CBI probe in a letter written to Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
