Some fake narratives have gained ground in India during the second wave of Covid pandemic.
Several questions were raised attacking the Narendra Modi government and they need to be answered to dispel the fake narratives.
Questions such as – Did India fail to anticipate the second wave? Why were election rallies and Kumbh mela held? Why should we build Central Vista – were asked.
All the questions have been answered in an article written by Akhilesh Mishra in Gulf News. You can go through them in the article. But, I would like to address a couple of them in this video.
Let me address the issue of the liberal mafia making a hue and cry over Kumbh mela which was compared to Markaz held by the Tablighis.
When a go-ahead was given for Kumbh mela, in January and February, the Covid cases in India had dropped down.
On April 1, when the Kumbh mela began, India was reporting 72,000 cases. Out of this, six states alone — Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Kerala, Karnataka, Delhi and Punjab — contributed over 76 per cent of the cases. And, none of these states had anything to do with the Kumbh mela.
Uttarakhand, where Kumbh was being held, was reporting a mere 293 cases on April 1 and 1,100 cases on April 8.
However, as the pandemic surged all over the country, Prime Minister Modi himself intervened and requested the seers to end the gathering before the due date and which they did.
So, the Kumbh was held within the Covid protocol and after it was called off, the devotees, who had done vaccine tests before entering Haridwar, returned to their home states.
Now compare this to the Markaz.
The Markaz was held by the Tablighis when there was no Covid protocol anywhere in the country and nobody knew the scale of disaster the dreaded disaster would cause to humanity.
In this condition, wise men would have canceled the gathering and returned home. Instead, the Tablighis opposed and not only did they do this, but spat, defecated in the open, teased female doctors, assaulted doctors and Covid warriors, and some of them escaped to the neighbouring states like West Bengal, Haryana and Punjab to avoid police action.
None of the Kumbh devotees misbehaved as the Tablighis did. Therefore, the comparison between the Kumbh and Markaz is foolish and uncalled for. The dim-wit liberal mafia just pour out their filth against anything Hindu to appease their Muslim friends and show off their fake secular image.
Coming to holding of elections, one must remember that India had held Bihar elections during the pandemic in November 2020 without much ado.
One must also remember that the BJP had made a proposal for holding virtual rallies, instead of physical before Bihar elections. However, other political parties rejected the proposal as they feared BJP would be better placed in this regard.
So, in the absence of the consensus, the Election Commission went ahead with its constitutional obligation to hold the elections. It would have been disastrous and undemocratic to have kept the assemblies of Kerala, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Assam and Puducherry, in suspended animation and under central rule.
