In an effort to trap Yogi Adityanath, Priyanka Vadra herself has got trapped into political quagmire.
In the quest to become the messiah of migrant laborers, Priyanka offered Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to arrange 1,000 buses to ferry migrants to their respective home states, expecting that the offer would not be accepted by Yogi and get an opportunity to blame him later for it.
This turned out to be swing of the bat at a wrong delivery. She was sent on the back-foot when Yogi, who is a ground leader, accepted the offer to her surprise. Yogi asked her to provide the list.
Sandeep Singh, her aide, who has almost buried the political career of Rahul Gandhi, thought that by playing “letterbaazi” politics, Priyanka would be able to hog some limelight, but it backfired.
Priyanka delayed the list, but when it was made available attached with a letter to Yogi, it caused a major embarrassment to Congress yet again. People came to know that the list of buses sent by Priyanka contained blacklisted buses, cars and even three-wheeled wonder autorickshaws, which means she did not have buses arranged beforehand and started to shed crocodiles tears for migrant workers.
After facing the ignominy, Priyanka shot off yet another letter saying sending 1,000 empty buses to Lucknow is not only a waste of time and resources but also inhuman and the product of an anti-poor mindset.
She also termed Yogi’s demand as politically motivated and do not have intentions of helping migrant workers, who are facing disaster. In reply, Yogi said his government never asked to ply empty buses to Lucknow, but to Noida and Ghaziabad borders of Uttar Pradesh.
Even before this war of words could cool off, Priyanka wrote yet another letter stating that the buses are being plied from Rajasthan and would take time to reach UP borders.
Now, when Priyanka is saying that the buses are coming from Rajasthan, then she should compulsorily give answers to some questions.
The most important ones are – When she is arranging 1000 buses from Rajasthan, then why is that they were not used to ferry migrants from Rajasthan itself, instead of plying them empty to UP borders? Why are the migrant workers stumbling upon stones in Congress-ruled states?
Sadly, this eco-system hopes to ride back to power by assassinating the character of BJP leaders and ministers, peddling fake news and create chaos in the country, but hardly realizing that it is impossible to succeed in this way, because the Indian politics has changed for ever.
