सीबीआई ने विदेशी फंडिंग के मामले में गुरुवार को सुप्रीम कोर्ट की वकील इंदिरा जयसिंह और आनंद ग्रोवर के घर छापेमारी की है । उनके फाउंडेशन ‘लॉयर्स कलेक्टिव’ पर विदेशी चंदा विनियमन कानून (FCRA) को तोड़ने का आरोप है । इस मामले में सीबीआई ने केस दर्ज कर लिया है और गृह मंत्रालय ने फाउंडेशन का लाइसेंस रद्द कर दिया है।
इंदिरा जयसिंह के NGO lawyers collective ने 2006 के बाद से 28. 5 करोड़ रूपया विदेशी चंदा प्राप्त किया जिसमें से 7. 2 करोड़ रूपया फोर्ड फाउंडेशन यूएसए से प्राप्त किया गया जबकि 4. 1 करोड़ रूपया अत्यधिक विवादास्पद अमेरिकी दानकर्ता ओपेन सोसाइटी फाउंडेशन से प्राप्त किया गया।
आरटीआई के जरिए जुटाए गए आंकड़ों से यह जाहिर होता है कि जयसिंह के 2008 -09 में एएसजी बनने के बाद लॉयर्स कलेक्टिव ने लावी स्ट्रॉस फाउंडेशन, यूएसए और स्विटजरलैंड के फाउंडेशन ओपेन सोसाइटी जैसे विवादास्पद संगठनों से धन हासिल किए।
उधर एक अन्य रिपोर्ट यह बताती है कि उल्लंघन कर विदेशी धन पाने वाले एनजीओ पर मोदी सरकार के प्रहार से धर्मांतरण के धंधे में 40 फीसदी की गिरावट आयी है। दक्षिण भारत, खासकर केरल में चर्च और मिशनरियों द्वारा चलाए जा रहे धर्मांतरण के धंधे पर बड़ी संख्या में लगाम लगी है।
Believers Church and three of its affiliates — Ayana Charitable Trust (formerly Gospel for Asia India), Love India Ministries and Last Hour Ministry, had lost their FCRA registrations in 2017.
Founded by K P Yohannan, the Believers Church is the biggest evangelical mission in Kerala, whose associated organisations had received Rs 1,348.65 crore as foreign aid in 2016.
According to a Times of India report, ‘During FY16, Ayana Charitable Trust (formerly Gospel For Asia) was the single largest recipient of foreign aid in the country as it received Rs 826.27 crore. Believers Church had received Rs 342.64 crore, Last Hour Ministry Rs 103.51 crore and Love India Ministries Rs 76.23 crore during FY16.’
A total cash inflow of Rs 2,397.33 crore, including foreign fund and local transfers, was registered between these companies during FY16.
