While holding office of US Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, had cautioned Pakistan against promoting, supporting and protecting terrorists by stating that “you can’t keep snakes in your backyard and expect them only to bite your neighbours as those snakes are eventually going to turn on whoever has them in the backyard.” Notwithstanding such sermons to other sovereign states,
US has often chosen to create demons such as Osama bin Laden, besides Saddam Hussein and Col Muammar Muhammad Gaddafi, which ultimately led to 9/11 attack on US in which almost 3000 innocent people were killed. It appears that US has not learnt any lesson from its historical blunders as it is still patronizing, protecting and defending scores of designated terrorists such as Khalistan ideologue Gurpatwant Singh Pannu of SFJ who has not only warned Hindus to leave Canada but also threatened to blow up Air India planes and the building of Parliament of India.
Despite US pressure on India to show “results” of the investigation into the allegation that an Indian government official had plotted to assassinate Pannu on its soil stressing that “we take this issue very seriously”, India is unlikely to be deterred from hot pursuit of its targets as Russian President Vladimir Putin has recently said that he “cannot imagine that Modi could be frightened, intimidated or forced to take any actions, steps, decisions that would be at variance with the national interests of India and the Indian people”.
Sooner the American authorities realize their folly of sheltering such wretched, desperate and nonsensical creatures better would it be for US to maintain friendly relations with India which is rising by leaps and bounds and is likely to become another superpower within next 20 years.
I shall feel obliged if you kindly publish my write up in your esteemed journal, in the overall national interest of India.
Thanking you
Yours sincerely
